The City Health Office (CHO) activated its Incident Command System (ICS) Monday, (Sept. 22) in response to the rising cases of acute gastroenteritis (AGE) reported in Cagayan de Oro.

In line with this, CHO department manager Dr. Rachel Daba-Dilla said the CHO- Incident Management Team is directed to do initial investigation, and provide mitigation measures against further rise of cases.

Dr. Dilla said the CHO's epidemiology division started interviewing admitted patients while Barangay Health Workers (BHW) were also instructed to conduct active case findings for onset of diarrhea in the community
"For the meantime, everyone is encouraged to refrain from drinking water from unknown sources. It is advised to bring your own drinking water when outside residence" , Dr. Dilla said. (AGP/CIO/CHO photos)
